We ordered pizza and Cinna-Stix for dinner tonight. Dominic had a tray full of Heart to Heart cereal, but wouldn't touch it. Instead he raised a ruckus and demanded our pizza. We gave him small bites, and he was in heaven.
Then it came time for dessert -- Cinna-Stix.
He loved them!
He took a bigger bite than he should have; much larger than any bite of anything he'd ever had before. After a bit of time gumming it, Jon decided it was too big for him to handle and tried to remove it.
With every attempt, Dominic would either bite Jon or clench his teeth so he couldn't get in his mouth. Jon and I started laughing at the efforts. That led Dominic to clench and grin at the same time. Soon his grins became giggles. Jon thought he'd get the bread mid-giggle. Nope. As soon as he came near, Dominic clenched his teeth and laughed even harder.
When he finally finished the bite, he laughed harder than ever! He didn't choke once, thankfully! I guess we learned our lesson: don't try to get between our boy and his food.
