The Church House

Amara calls our house "Rah-Rah's House." Somewhere along the line, she starting calling herself "Rah-Rah" even though she's now perfectly capable of saying "Amara." To more easily explain to her where we were going, everything become a "house." For example: The Doctor's House, The Food House, The Shopping House, and yes, The Church House. She understand's that whatever "house" it is, well, that's what we do or who we see when we get there.

This morning, we told her we're going to The Church House. She loves The Church House, because she gets to eat donuts and play in the nursery with all her friends and the toys.

As we're driving, we came to a red stoplight. Arby's was across the street, and she could see the sign. She said, "No! That's not The Church House, that's the Burger House." Yep, you're right...

We turn the corner into the school (where our church meets). She sees the school and cries out, "Yay! I see it! I found The Church House! Woo-hoo!" Those were her exact words, complete with the victory cry!

When we walked into the church, she started stroking her chin and saying, "Hmmm...." She was looking for the donuts.
