Every morning after Jon gets Dominic dressed, he sends him into the bathroom and said, "Go show your Mom how cute you look!" When we comes into the bathroom, I make sure to affirm that by telling him how cute he is and giving him a big hug.
This morning, his shoes were in Amara's room, but Amara was still asleep. When he came into the bathroom, he was dressed except for his shoes. I told him, "Look at you! You're cute." And I bent down to hug him.
He put up his hand and shook his head. He said, "No, I not cute yet!"
I asked why not. He said, "I don't have my shoes on."
