Yesterday I picked up the kids from day care. Per usual, I grabbed their "pages" from the day -- the pictures they'd colored, worksheets they'd done, etc.
Amara came running and called out, "Mommy, I want my honkey donkey?"
That made no sense to me. I asked her to repeat herself. Then I looked down at the pages I was holding. On the top -- none other than Humpty Dumpty.
Amara continued with her rhyme:
"Honkey Donkey sat on a wall.
Honkey Donkey had a great fall."
Bet you'd never heard that version before!
