The Greatest Fan

For Mother's Day, we went to a brunch buffet. We didn't have reservations, so were told that we could wait 3 hours (yikes!) for a table, or we could seat ourselves outside on a first come, first served basis. It was COLD outside, so people were not opting for that -- we were seated in 5 minutes. Thankfully I keep a "just in case" stash of clothes in the car for the kids and we were seated under a patio heater.

Anyway, despite being a bit chilly, it proved to be the perfect spot.

Because we were outside, the kids could be a little less well-behaved than we would have required in the restaurant. They also could "flirt" with the families coming in to eat. Of course, Dominic did that perfectly!

However, the best benefit to being outside was that we got to enjoy the music of a Johnny Cash wanna be. He strummed his guitar and sang along.

During every song, Dominic bopped his head to the music.

After every song, Dominic stopped whatever he was doing, turned to the man, and shouted, "Yay!"

At first, the man just chuckled a bit. It quickly turned to a loud laugh, and even conversation with Dominic.

At one point, he said to us, "You guys are just great. You are the perfect audience!"

Well... he made our meal more enjoyable. I hope we were able to make his day as well.
