Lovin' the Weekends

As we worked our way through the week, I wondered if I'd have anything to write about. It was a very "normal" week, outside of the raccoons that decided they enjoyed our birdfeeder!

We did go out to eat a "the fire food house" according to the kids. We just love the hibachi grill. While there, we discovered that Amara LOVES sushi! Or at least she enjoyed the caterpillar roll. There were some she didn't care for, too. The kids love the show that they put on. Dominic's yet to catch the egg that they toss at him, though our chef was a novice on Friday night and made it impossible for Jon to catch -- and Jon never misses!

Later in the week, we were invited to go out to the lake boating with some friends. So we worked on the house on Saturday and played all day on Sunday.

I found a great deal on visors and sunglasses at Children's Place and Amara was tickled to be able to wear them to the lake. I thought she looked SO cute!

Dominic's a little sailor boy. He loves to be on the water. He spent most of the ride on his knees gazing off the boat into the water.

He was also brave enough to ride the tube. He was a little bit uncertain at first, but we were going very slowly.

Eventually he got the hang of it -- and discovered that with an adult riding, he didn't have to hang on! So he put his head down and nearly fell asleep! Jon decided that looked comfortable, so he did, too.

Now to finish the house so more of our weekends can look like this!
